The next generation of world-class engineers at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is reaching for the sky thanks to the Kiewit Scholars Program.

The program, a partnership between the university’s College of Engineering and the Kiewit Corporation, provides 10 students each year with full-tuition scholarships, travel opportunities and more. Kiewit Scholars will complete a four-year cohort program, gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders in the building industry.

“I had the unique opportunity as a Kiewit Scholar over the past four years to see the day-to-day progression of a large-scale civil Kiewit project on campus: Kiewit Hall.”

Gracie Kerr is a graduate student pursuing her master's degree in civil engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Through support to the N Fund – College of Engineering, students in the Kiewit Scholars Program benefit from several unique opportunities beyond scholarship support and housing for first-year scholars, including:

  • book and education abroad stipends;
  • out-of-state immersive learning experiences; and
  • guaranteed internships with Kiewit.

You can continue to support the Kiewit Scholars Program, along with other priority projects and opportunities within the College of Engineering, by making a gift to the N Fund – College of Engineering today.
